Photographer’s Name: Sylvia Guarino
Location of Photo: La Florida Birding, Colombia
Description: Birding the KM 18 area near Cali, Colombia offers many species of birds to see and fincas (farms) to bird from. The birds are wild but always game to accept a handout. The Blue-winged Mountain Tanager was happy with the offering but not thrilled that the female Red-headed Barbet was about to crash his party. Although field birding is especially exciting as you never know what you will see, birding at the fincas is a much better way to get a clear look and clear click of some extraordinary birds.

Location of Photo: Ljubliana Zoo, Slovenia
Description: My family and I were on a trip to Slovenia and since our zoo back home was shut down for many years, we decided to visit the Zoo while we were in Ljubljana. While walking beside a small pond, we heard unique bird sounds and when we followed that sound we found a big group of pink pelicans snuggling together and some were going for a drip or cleaning themselves up. This particular pelican caught my eye (and my camera) cause it was not moving like the others, it was like watching and posing for the camera. it’s intense eyes and pink hue are what made me stare at it for a long time even after I took the shot.
14. Desert Big Horn Sheep

Photographer’s Name: Peter Reinold

Photographer’s Name: Victoria Valenta
Location of Photo: Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens in Dorset, England
Description: Golden pheasant is taking a stroll on a fresh morning at Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens in Dorset. A shy bird with a captivating palette of colorful feathers was taking care not to be spotted on his morning walk, but the lens of the camera managed to take this photo opportunity in his beautiful garden path covered with traces of pink flowers on the floor and different shapes of green vegetation all around. A pathway to paradise. Better yet, it might be that the small creature was proud to show his stunning residence for a brief moment but kept his head low immediately after so that nobody else finds this piece of heaven.
16. Bald Eagle Silhouetted

18. Conversation at the Lake

Name of Photographer: Teri Miller
Location of Photo: Evergreen, Colorado, USA
Description: I took this image on a cool summer morning after the fog had settled onto the lake, waiting in anticipation for the rising sun. I had been photographing a herd of elk swimming in the lake when I turned to see this heron hunting in the reeds. A blackbird approached and expressed displeasure at the heron – perhaps he was too close to a nest? Either way, I was lucky to be in the right place at the right time of this “conversation.” The sun was rising, the fog was lifting, the birds were perfectly silhouetted against the lake.
19. Family

Name of Photographer: Jacin Paynn
Location of Photo: St Louis Zoo, Missouri, USA
Description: St Louis Zoo at the right time.
20. Squirrel Pumpkin

Name of Photographer: Suchita Ambhore
Location of Photo: Louisville, Kentucky, USA
Description: I clicked this picture of this squirrel on my patio while the fall season started. I kept the pumpkin with a scarecrow on the patio, and suddenly, the squirrels started coming to eat it. I kept watching the squirrels from my couch for a long time and took lots of videos and pictures of the squirrels. This is one of the best pictures so far I have taken of wildlife animals.
